King James Bible: The ExperienceRead the Words.
Enter the Moment.
King James Scripture, followed by Michael Mercier’s narrative interpretation. An invitation to picture the scene, consider the human experience, and return to the biblical text.
The Heart of the ExperienceScripture Is the Foundation.
The Story Invites You In.
Rooted in love for God and Jesus Christ, and reverence for Scripture. An invitation for those opening the Bible for the first time, and those finding their way back.
IThe King James BibleThe Words Remain
at the Center.
The Experience is designed to include the entire King James Bible across the completed series, preserving the biblical wording as the canonical, authoritative source text for this work.
With reverence for the teachings of Jesus and the whole biblical witness, Scripture comes first and remains the guide.
The New Testament is being prepared first. The Old Testament is planned. Final volumes and complete passage coverage will be confirmed through editorial review.
IIThe Experience NarrativeAnother Way to
Spend Time With It.
Alongside the Scripture, narrative writer Michael Mercier offers a creative interpretation through scene-setting, human emotion, and reflection. Short paragraphs and recurring images invite readers to slow down and picture the moment.
His creative narrative is a companion to the biblical text, intended to make the reading experience more accessible and engaging. The author always defers to the original text as the canonical, authoritative source.
The Scripture and creative narrative are presented distinctly. The narrative does not replace the Bible, claim to correct it, or carry the authority of Scripture.
The IntentionIn challenging times, the love of Christ and the Bible’s teachings of faith, mercy, and hope invite our attention anew. This book seeks to make the reading experience more approachable, deepen thoughtful engagement, and help people connect or reconnect with Scripture. The hope is that the story sends you back to the Bible.

01Begin With Scripture

02Follow the Narrative
Enter Michael’s scene-setting and reflection. Short lines, repeated images, and human reactions give the passage a different reading rhythm.
03Return and Reflect
Read the Scripture again. Consider what the narrative brought to your attention, and discuss your questions with others if you are reading together.

The Voice of the ExperienceA Scene to Picture.
A Thought to Stay With.
The Gospel passages make room for movement, setting, and the people within the scene. In the letters, Michael often slows the language into short, reflective lines. In Revelation, recurring images and repeated phrases give the writing a meditative cadence.
The intended benefit is a more attentive encounter with familiar passages: a scene to picture, a question to consider, or a thought to carry into conversation. The samples let you experience that approach for yourself.

One Reading Journey.
The King James passage comes first. Michael’s narrative follows, with creative scene-setting, human perspective, and transitions alongside reflection on the biblical account. The labels make clear which words are Scripture and which are the author’s interpretation.
The New Testament Experience is in editorial preparation. Final contents, volume structure, and publication details will be confirmed after editing. An Old Testament Experience is planned as the collection grows.

Read All 20 Questions and Answers → Does It Replace or Claim to Improve on the Bible?+
No. Michael always defers to the original KJV text as the canonical, authoritative source. His creative narrative interpretation accompanies the Scripture to encourage engagement with it. It does not replace or correct the Bible, claim greater accuracy, or present new revelation.
Why Include the Entire King James Text?+
Keeping the source text present allows readers to compare the narrative directly with Scripture. The intention is to include the complete KJV across the finished series, rather than substitute a shortened retelling for the Bible. The New Testament is being prepared first; the Old Testament is planned. The series is not yet complete, and passage coverage and final volume divisions are still being checked.
How Does the Author Approach Narrative Detail?+
Michael approaches each passage as a narrative writer. Scene-setting, dialogue, emotional perspective, and pacing form part of his creative interpretation. Where the narrative expands, condenses, or gives particular attention to a moment, that is a storytelling decision, rather than a commentary on what Scripture should say. These creative details belong to the companion narrative; the original KJV remains the canonical, authoritative source.
Is This Adding to God’s Word?+
The intention is not to add words to Scripture or present the narrative as inspired revelation. It is a separate literary work alongside the biblical text. The original text remains intact as the source for the project, with the creative narrative identified separately. Readers and church leaders are invited to explore the samples and consider the approach within their own reading and study practices.
How Is the Book Meant to Be Used?+
Read the KJV passage first, then the related narrative, then return to Scripture. Keep the original text as your point of reference as you explore the author’s creative interpretation. Use it for personal reflection or discussion alongside your usual Bible reading, prayer, and study.
